Dawn Patrol: July 19, 2009

Today's dawn patrol will be a little short. I think it is safe to expect that most of the weekend editions will be shorter.

Yesterday had its ups and downs for Abby. She had some trouble getting to sleep when she was home with Mommy. And when she did finally go to sleep, she was only down for a short time. Fussy times, fussy times. Mommy and Daddy took her over to visit some friends, and she had a great time with them. She especially liked the bouncing game. I would also like to note jealously that the bouncing game did not cause the formula uprising that the up-and-down game seems to trigger.

We had our first opportunity to use the pack and play. It is a marvelous piece of equipment. It's a little heavy to carry around, but it collapses and expands easily and quickly. The heaviness also translates into sturdiness, which instills nervous new parents with confidence in the product's safety. It's also not at all expensive as far as baby furniture goes. I do recommend it.

As I said, this will be a short entry. Abby and her friend will be escorted to the Brookfield Zoo later today, and I am sure that there will be much to discuss tomorrow.
