Dawn Patrol: July 28, 2009

Abby woke up at 1:30 am last night and didn't get back to sleep until after 3:00. Like the night before, she woke up hungry, so the going theory is that she is hitting a growth spurt. Our strategy is to find a way to get her more food in the evening. She's been going to sleep around 7:30, so we have decided to try to wake her up around 9:30 and give her a bottle. Plan B is to give her some rice cereal in the evening along with her last bottle, but we will hold off on that to make sure its necessary.

A downside to Abby's good sleeping habits is that I am not accustomed to waking up for an hour and a half in the middle of the night. I am, therefore, quite tired. I intend to write part two of Religion and Morality up in the next two or three days, but it won't be today. I'm too sleepy to think about it.

Other than the sleep issue, yesterday was good. Abby got all her naps and had fun on her walk. A funny little episode occurred on my walk with Abby's friends Dad. A man was walking his dog and mistook us for a gay couple. He was so excited for us that we didn't have the heart to tell him the truth.
