Dawn Patrol: July 8, 2009

First off, head over to Flickr to see the video that I posted last night. As far as I'm concerned, it captures Abby's personality better than any of the others that I've managed to get. It's called "A Conversation with Abby July 7 2009." And make sure that you can hear the sounds that she is making.

As you can see in the video, Abby has really stepped up the talking over the last couple of days. She clearly has a lot to say, and Mommy and Daddy have started introducing sign language. Click here to find out more about that.

The day was a good one. Now that I'm watching for them, I continue to get better at recognizing her sleepy cues, and the more timely the sleep, the happier the baby.

We had a visitor yesterday, one of my colleagues. Abby put on a quite a show for him with a lot of smiling, talking, squealing and general emoting.

A slice of life: From the time that we brought her home until fairly recently, Abby would make this adorable little sound when she was on the changing table. It was a sort of a "ka-ka-ka-ka" sound. Though I tried, I never managed to get it on video, and she almost never makes it anymore.
